Good morning Insiders and happy Race Week 🏁
This means the city is about to shift into a completely different gear. The 500 is Sunday, Carb Day is Friday, and if you've never experienced what this city feels like the week of the race, this is your reminder that it's genuinely one of the best times to be here. Aside from the race festivities, we’ve got plenty more to keep you busy — let's get into it.
This week we’re taking a look into the team behind Provider. Neal and Paul Werner opened Provider in the Kennedy-King neighborhood back in 2018, and in 2024 the Tinker House Events team took over operations — same coffee, same ethos. Provider sits on the ground floor of the Tinker House building alongside an event space upstairs and a handful of other businesses, so it's less a standalone cafe and more a hub that a whole community of people built around.
