We’re back with The Great Coffee Hunt! Well, kinda.. Recess is opening in Martindale-Brightwood in early 2026 as Indy’s first matcha-only café. There’s no coffee on the menu—just matcha served hot, iced, and in a few creative variations that keep things interesting without overdoing it.
The space is designed to function as both a café and a lounge, with plans for small events once they’re open. It’s a solid option if you’re not a coffee person or just want something different in the rotation. Find out more here.
Vicious Biscuit is opening its first Indiana location in Fishers this January, bringing a Southern-style brunch menu built around biscuit sandwiches. The menu includes fried chicken, bold flavors, and portions that lean more filling than delicate.
