Good morning, Insiders!

This week in Indy: pizza takes over Monument Circle for Indy Pizza Fest, The Mousetrap keeps the late-night jams rolling, and the State Fair returns to remind us that deep-fried Oreos are technically still food. NFL preseason is here too, which means we finally get to see if Anthony Richardson is ready to lead or if we have to start defending Daniel Jones to our friends. Either way, there’s plenty to keep you busy before the next tariff hits your grocery bill. Let’s get started →

The Mousetrap has been a steady go-to for live music in Indy for over two decades. It’s lowkey, no-nonsense, and all about the tunes—especially if you’re into jam bands, funk, or anything a little off the beaten path.

They’ve got shows most nights of the week, solid sound, and a crowd that actually shows up to listen. No cover some nights, cheap drinks, and the kind of lineup that keeps you coming back just to see who’s playing next.

Pizza lovers, assemble—Indy Pizza Fest is taking over Monument Circle on Friday, August 9th, and it’s basically one big pizza party downtown. Think dozens of local spots slinging slices, a DJ, drinks, and a crowd full of people trying to act chill while holding four plates at once.

It’s free to walk around, but if you want in on the actual eating, grab a tasting ticket and go to town. Just maybe don’t start with the ghost pepper slice.

Meet Apollo, a 2-month-old mixed breed who will grow to over 44 pounds, Dionysus, another 2-month-old mixed breed who could be Apollo’s brother, and Erie, a 2-year-old cat who’s as mysterious as she is cute.

Want to day dream real quick? Check out this 4 bed, 7 bath mansion that just had a $800k price cut… (yes, seriously). We’re looking at your own courtyard fountain, wine cellar, and home office that’ll make you feel like the real life Godfather.

Plenty going on this week in Indy—grab your crew and pick your vibe.
