Happy Tuesday, Indy!
We’ve wrapped up hosting the WNBA All Star weekend and are about to get a fresh new heat wave that’ll leave at least one new scooter in the canal. This week we’re looking at one of the more intimate live music venues, a new renovation coming to downtown, some racing at the Speedway, and even a Lemon Drop festival 🍸🍋 .
Let’s dive in →

If you know, you know — and if you don’t, hereour nudge. Tucked into Fountain Square, Hoosier Dome is one of Indy’s most beloved little DIY venues. No frills, no big-ticket glitz — just a gritty, intimate room where you’re right up in the mix with the bands. They host an impressive lineup of up-and-coming punk, hardcore, indie, and experimental acts, and you’re almost guaranteed to catch someone on theiy up.
Bring some cash, your beat-up sneakers, and get ready to sweat it out shoulder-to-shouldith some of Indy’s most passionate live music fans. It’s raw, it’s loud, and it’s exactly what a true local music scene should feel like.

Big news for Indy’s downtown glow-up: the Shinola Hotel is officially heading our way… eventually. The iconic Detroit hotel brand just announced plans to bring its signature vintage-meets-modern style to Indy, with a new spot set to open in 2027.
If you’re not familiar, Shinola’s Detroit digs are all about understated luxury, rich leather and timeless vibes. Think cozy-chic rooms, craft cocktails, and it’s all in walking distance to the heart of Indy. It’ll even include a 4,000 seat music venue inside and a skybridge for those late night Fever and Pacer games. 👀
Stay tuned for more details as creeps closer (time flies when you’re having fun..).

This one’s not your typical Indy home — and that’s the charm. The front yard is begging for a swing to go along with the picnic tables and the hanging lights are already in place. Inside, it’s got character a few quirks that could use a remodel (bold carpet color..), but for the right person it’s a vibe. Check it out here.
